V. Closing Thoughts

This processor shows really extreme potential for overclockability. On stock, I can not complain about its stellar performance in anything I can throw at it. I can feel the difference when working on many open files and running applications in the background, specially if I do some gaming from time to time. On an overclock settings, saying I am very impressed is an understatement. A quick look at the numbers generated by benchmark is proof enough alrady. It really defies pricing as well, as this just got an enormous price cut from Chipzilla and significantly better performing than everything else dual core on the market on the samre rating.

I have touched this already in my other article, but I will just repeat it again: warranty. Intel® provides a solid 3Year warranty on its retail boxed processor. Using the processor at a stock speed will not void the warranty, however, once overclocked, then say goodbye to your warranty. While this should be common knowledge already, I just feel the need to emphasize it and remind everyone to play safe with their rig and don't do drastic changes as this can mean getting your system to be unstable.

If anyone is looking for a performance dual core playtoy or just planning on building a great all around rig with some overclocking planned, then this processor is a definite fit. The processor is relatively cool compared to their older cousins Intel® Pentium® D 800 series processors and offers a competitive performance at its price point. If you are looking for that one more pimping rig, look no further, because this is it.
