V. Closing Thoughts

The performance from this processor is truly a preview and a bad omen for AMDroids. They have never seen this coming, because they have already shunned their eyes with the power of the processor. When Conroe's early leaked score reached the enthusiasts all over the world, including AMDroids, they have dismissed the scores as rigged, reflecting their state of mind, their feeling of elitism and denial. Had they been more open minded and seen the performance of Dothan, followed by Yonah, then I would guess that they would have already been prepared for the onslaught of the Intel FanBoyz.

While many would be jumping on the Merom, it is interesting to note that shops may be selling these processors for such a low price and this is where budget enthusiast should push thru. They should be grabbing systems, laptops, MoDTs, and even retail boxes for they really aren't losing much here. Since it's a mobile processor, users will be delighted to know that it doesn't consume as much electricty as their desktop counterparts, and yet, performance is at par, or even better with some desktop processors in certain applications. For users wanting a budget processor, looking for a really compact system, then this processor is definitely a match. Till next...
