Article: Intel® Desktop Board D101GGC Review (Embracing 3rd Party Chipset?) - Part I
VI. Subjective Experience and Objective Observation
If you have an existing system, you might want to compare the results with what I got. Looking at the results, the motherboard is able to complete all the tests without any hassles, though records are nowhere near the border of bragging rights shootout.
However, the system must be looked upon the segment for which it is targetted with. On the value segment, it has always been a fact that on-board graphics solutions will not be able to meet a demanding 3D-based games, such as DOOM3, and Far Cry. But my experience with this board, playing Blizzard Warcraft III with Frozen Throne experience is stunning. I can turn on all the eye candies on 1024x769 resolution and still have a very very enjoying playing experience. Another game I tried is Sim City4, with Rush Hour expansion and again, never had any problems with graphics. Benchmark results never reflects actual game experience, and while the scores are low, my subjective experience shows otherwise.
